How to ensure the inputs and the outputs singals be the same by using 2 TLK10022s

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLK10022

Hi:

I want to use 2 TLK10022s between two boards A and B like the picture below. My questions is,how could I make sure the OUTBs be the same as the INAs? The refenrece clocks in these two boards need specially design?

Is there any example for application like this?

  • Hello,

You could take this application note as a reliable guide:

  • Hi,
I mean in these two boards, I can use two clock sources in the same frequency or I must use one clock source?
Futhermore, the REFCLK must be connected to a clock or it can be left unconnected ?
  • Hello,

We suggest use the same clock source. If you use two clock sources the CTC will allow the LS FIFO's to compensate for the difference in REFCLK vs the HS data.

REFCLK0/1 must be connected to a clock signal.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Luis

  • Does the clock and data recovery (CDR) function of TLK10022 can be recovery the same Synchronize clk with the board A'clk?
Because TLK10022 used in pairs but on the two small board, such as sketch before,so how to guarantee from A board complete transfer to B board without error?
If A board has a design clock source, and B board does not have a clock source, only through BOARD B's CDR function, can achieve the above purpose? If it can be achieved need to connect CLKOUT pin or the corresponding pin?
  • If A board has a design clock source, and B board does not have a clock source, only through BOARD B's CDR function, can achieve the above purpose? If it can be achieved need to connect CLKOUT pin or the corresponding pin?
By BOARD A CLKOUT output clock In the BOARD B with TLK10022 CDR function as a clock synchronization with the BOARD A can?
  • hello:

I have some questions to consult you

Does the clock and data recovery (CDR) function of TLK10022 can be recovery the same Synchronize clk with the board A'clk?

By BOARD A CLKOUT output clock In the BOARD B with TLK10022 CDR function as a clock synchronization with the BOARD A can?

If A board has a design clock source, and B board does not have a clock source, only through BOARD B's CDR function,
can achieve the above purpose? If it can be achieved need to connect CLKOUT pin or the corresponding pin?

  • Hi Luis:
Could you like answer the question by xiaofang xiao? We work together on the same project. Thanks very much!
