Hello,

Our customer use the SN65DSI84, have some question.

The customer want to know the default status of reserved or undefined bit fields.

Is it possible to read the status of reserved or undefined bit fields?

The customer will write a program.

Is there any sequence or notice for writing a program like a "Do or Not Do"?

Hello Naoki,

They can read the whole register map,but we recommend not to write the reserved or hidden fields since it can enter the device in unknown states, especially the fields 0x10.7 and 0x10.6:5.

Thank you for your reply.
I will suggest the customer not to write the reserved or hidden fields.

About the programming, I will tell the customer refer to Example Script on the datasheet.
