I am currently using in my design the SN74LVC16245ADGGR.

I am using it as a one direction buffer ( A to B only).

Seems the 2KV ESD protection this buffer accommodates is not enough for this design

where I need at least +/-6KV ESD protection.

Does TI have a "drop and replace" buffer that will both share same footprint as the SN74LVC16245ADGGR

and the +/-6KV ESD protection requirement at the same time?

If not, what is the closest buffer that accommodates such ESD level?

Logic doesn't have any parts with ESD at 6kV. Also I moved you to a forum that an better answer your question.

Hi Amnon,

We do not have a buffered translator in our ESD portfolio that will replace the SN74LVC16245ADGGR. If you would like to add separate ESD protection, please let me know. The only ESD protection devices we have with a buffered translator is meant for an HDMI port, like TPD12S016, and is not practical for your use case.
