DS125DF410: new reset after sync loss required?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DPS-DONGLE-EVM

Hello Team,

is there any chance to get the PLL locked again after disconnecting and re-connecting the input signal?

So far everything works fine but after removing the input signal and re-applying it again I need to reset and reconfigure the IC by the SigCon Architect again (using DPS-DONGLE-EVM). Is this really required or is there a possibility to avoid this and re-start with the same configuration and same input signal?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Hans

  • Hi Hans,

This is not required. We do this quite often in the lab and have not observed this.

Could it be that at the beginning when the signal is getting applied for some reason transient confuses the retimer. How about if you turn off the power to the device, apply the signal, and then turn the power on. I am assuming this works right?

Another thing you can try is to force signal detect off, apply signal, and then turn signal detect on. Does this take care of the problem?

    Regards,, Nasser
