Hi Team,

Can I use TPD2S703-Q1 for CC pins of USB Type-C?

We need Short-to-VBUS protection on CC pins IC of Automotive grade.

However, we can’t find Automotive grade IC in TI lineup.

Therefore, we would like to know whether TPD2S703-Q1 is usable for CC pins.

Hi Kanemaru,

The TPD2S703-Q1 can't be use for protect the CC pin as the max OVP protect threshold is 4.5V. In the type C SPEC the CC line voltage can up to 5.5V, So it can't meet the application requirement.
