DS90UB954-Q1: 1936x1114@30fps vs. 60fps

For register 0x21, please use 0x01 for round robin forwarding instead of 0x04 since there is no synchronized forwarding in your system (only port 0 is enabled). 

For the sensor are you using 10 bit output mode for both configurations? Because I think IMX390 can only output 60 fps in 10 bit mode.

I changed the register 0x21 from 0x04 to 0x01, but there was no improvement.

Can you please read back the line length and line count values in both 30 fps mode and 60 fps mode? These 954 registers should contain the data:

0x73-0x76

It was too late to check the line length, line count values, and so on.

The line length and line count values are as follows.

1936x1100@30 fps (Image sensor output)

0x73 (Line_Count_Hi) :04

0x74 (Line_Count_Lo) :5A

0x75 (Line_Len_1) :0B

0x76 (Line_Len_0) :58

1936x1114@60 fps (Image sensor output)

0x73 (Line_Count_Hi) :04

0x74 (Line_Count_Lo) :5A

0x75 (Line_Len_1) :0B

0x76 (Line_Len_0) :58

And there is a strange point in 60 fps mode.

That is frame is being changed continuously between 15 fps and 30 fps (15 fps ~ 30 fps).

Is there any check point?

In the two modes mentioned above, the detected line counts are the same but the resolutions are different (1936x1000 and 1936x1114) 

Can you comment on this?

Do you mean that the resolutions should be same if  the detected line and counts are same?

Need to check again the resolutions of image sensor?

I'm sorry for my late response.

It was take a long time to debug with image sensor's engineer.

I think that the cause of this issue seems to be the image sensor's setting and not SerDes.

So I'm debugging that to resolve this issue.

Let you know that if the cause is found and it is resolved.
