SN65HVS883: How to connect unused inputs?

Hi Team,

in our application we only need a part of the HVS883 serializer inputs. How do we need to connect the unused inputs IPx and REx. Can those be floating or simply connect to GND? Or tie to GND via a resistor?

Hi, Lutz,

It's good practice to tie both IPx and REx pins to GND if they are unused so the input status is not left undetermined.

The VIN-ON threshold will be ~5.2V so the inputs will be detected as a LOW.
