SN75DP159: Do you need the Lane swap to use with Displayport 1.2?

do you use DP or DP++? Dp159 only support DP++

I confirmed that it works as a single-mode Retimer for Displayport.

based on your connection, no special setting for DP159 since in DP retimer mode, all channels are same.

this device does has pin SWAP to swap lane but it's different connection.

how do you configure AUX pin? pls refer to part 2.2 AUX implementation

The configure AUX pin is the same as part 2.2 AUX implementation of slla358.pdf.

AUX pin is connected to REFCLK of DP Sink.

What kind of things do you think could be the other cause?

And, please let me know the reason that did the following connections in Page5, 6, 7 of slla358.pdf.

I  think that the following connections is for clear reason.

 U2 MGTRXP0/N0 -- U1 OUT_D2P/N -- U1 IN_D2P/N -- J1 ML_0p/0n

 U2 MGTRXP2/N2 -- U1 OUT_D0P/N -- U1 IN_D0P/N -- J1 ML_2p/2n

this device was designed for DP++ to HDMI retimer so pinout was based on HDMI connection.

Can you send schematic for review?

Yes, I changed FPGA code with reference to page9 of slla358.pdf.

{0x0D, 0x02} , //Select LN0 for clock.
