Calculation of Serializer Delay in DS90UB913A

"7.9 Serializer Switching Characteristics" is following value in data sheet.
- 10-bit mode MIN 32.5T, NOM 38T and MAX 44T
- 12-bit mode MIN 11.75T, NOM 13T and MAX 15T

Why delay time of 10-bit mode dose require 3 times the delay time of 12-bit mode?
I think delay time grows proportionally to the number of input bit.

    The delay will be different for different modes because our internal clocking/divider scheme is different depending upon the mode of operation. For example, internal divider is 2 for 10-bit mode, 12-bit HF mode is 1.5 and 12-bit LF mode is 1. Because of clocking/divider scheme for packetizing the parallel data and sending it out over the high-speed serial link, each mode will operate with different serializer delay from input to output. The 3x difference you see between 10-bit and 12-bit modes is a result of this internal divider/clock generation structure and also the serialization protocol.

    I understand that Serializer Delay depends on both of the mode of internal clock and serialization protocol from your reply.

    According to your answer, if we use same internal clock speed, the 10-bit serialization protocol takes longer than the 12-bit serialization protocol?

    The Deserializer delay has 10-bit mode , 12-bit LF mode and 12-bit HF mode on data sheet.
    Why doesn't the Serializer Delay have 12-bit LF and 12-bit HF?
