FSK over analog audio line

Hello,

I would like to know if there any solution to send FSK digital data along with analog audio, so that I can use single wire to convey both data and audio. Currently I am sending digital data (bi-directional communication) and audio in seperate wires.

Hi Jaison,

I believe that this should be possible. I am used to seeing FSK used with a single carrier frequency and a single mixed frequency, but I think that in theory it should work just fine.

I have reached out to the audio team and will get back to you when I know more.

Hi Jaison,

I just heard back from the engineer and they unfortunately do not have any solutions. I did however come across an application note that might be a good start:

In theory sending FSK digital data on a line that also has analog audio data should work just find. My biggest feedback would be to make sure your modulation frequencies are well above the audio bandwidth.

Sorry that I could not be of more help. If you do find a solution, and don't mind sharing it to a wider audience, you could post what you find back on this thread. I think that many people would be interested in something like this (even if its 's just a starting point).

Hi John,

Thanks for the time and effort you took.

I had already gone through the application note, but that is V.23-compliant FSK transceiver which work in the audio frequency range, which cannot meet the need.

Anyway I have found another application report (sharing below, as you have requested:)), which I am planning to prototype.
