About mounting of ISO7640FM.

Guru 19575 points

Customer will use two ISO7640FMs.

If two ISO7640FMs mount on the back and front of a substrate, is it "no problem" ?

(On both sides of a substrate)

Does it have influence of a magnetic field and an electric field?

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • Satoshi,

Two ISO7640FMs back to back on either side of a board should be fine, as far as the isolator itself is concerned. The spacing from the package and a typical board thickness (>1mm) is more than sufficient to avoid cross talk between the two devices.

However, care should be taken that the supply (especially the routing from the pins to the 100nF supply decoupling capacitor) and other signal routing do not interact, and are shielded from each other.
