Hi,

I got a question about the technique for improving EMC.

Customer got the info about it from our competitor as follows,

"When supplying different voltage to Vio and Vdd, placing 1uF capacitor between Vdd and Vio

 will improve EMC performance."

Have anyone heard the technique before?

How about the case of HVDA551-Q1?

Thanks

Go

  • Hi Go,

No, I have not heard of this technique. Do you have any more info on why this is recommended for improving EMC? We typically recommend using decoupling capacitors from these supplies to ground in order to filter noise on the power rail and to compensate for resistance and inductance in the PCB's power distribution network.
