SN75ALS181: Pin to pin compatible device of SN75ALS181NS

Hi,

I'm Sonryo Kim from TI Japan.

I'm looking for pin to pin compatible device of SN75ALS181NS from THVD series,
Would you advise the exact part number of candidates?

    Sonryo-san,

    Thank you for your question.  Unfortunately, we do not have a pin-to-pin compatible device to replace the SN75ALS181NS.  However, our new THVD15XX series may offer significant performance improvements over that device.  

    Supply current will improve from 30mA to 1mA maximum during normal operation.  Supply current when the outputs are disabled drops to less than 1uA.

    Differential input voltage increases from +/-12V to +/-15V. 

    The THDV15XX devices also possess integrated ESD protection and Electrical Fast Transient (EFT) robustness.  You may find some helpful information here about EFT and its advantages.  

    Since the SN75ALS181 device is a full-duplex transceiver with <20ns propagation delay, I will highlight the THVD1552 device for your consideration for your customers' new projects.
