SN74AVC16T245 - NC pins of ZQL package

Hi Team,

Please allow me to confirm about the NC pins of SN74AVC16T245ZQL Are these pins disconnected from the Interposer ? i.e. Would there be no problem when the user short these NC pins with other functional pins ?

I can find below description, so I believe this pin is completely floating.

    Please leave all N.C. pins floating. We do not guarantee device functionality/performance if the N.C. pins are shorted to other functional pins. Thanks.

    What is the purpose of shorting the N.C. pins to other functional pins?

    Thank you for your comment.

    Customer did not want to use vias on their board. They were willing to make the power trace wider however as the pin pitch is 0.65mm, they wanted to use the N.C. pins to make the trace wider.
