SN74HC04D part numbering

SN74HC04D is causing different results in a circuit based on the marking on the device. The ones labeled 2AADTTM provide good results. The ones labeled 2BA8DLK provide bad results. It seems to follow the letters AA as oppose to BA. What do those letters mean?

Hi Felix,
Can you describe the problem you are seeing with the failing 2BA8DLK devices? We prefer to see a schematic with scope shots .

If the device is failing (violating spec at datasheet conditions), you should initiate a failure analysis through your TI representative, or whoever you purchased the parts from. However, we like to see application conditions first to rule out any other issues and avoid any unnecessary roadblocks.
