Choice between CD4000 and 74HC.

We are considering CD4000B series components for our new designs.

But these components are becoming obsolete.

Is it recommended to go for this series for new designs?

Or

Should we consider 74HC series components for our new designs?

Kindly clarify.

    Hi Rajesh, we still produce the CD4000B series. We generally do not obsolete a product as long as there are sales on the product, even if there are only a few units. You should continue using the CD4000B products unless the product webpage says "Not Recommended for New Designs."
