Observed failure of SN74LVC1G07DBVR buffer after thermal Cycling.

Dear Sir/Mam,

We have used SN74LVC1G07DBVR single channel buffer in one of our module,we found failure of the buffer after the module was subjected to thermal cycling (-40 to 55 deg C).

The impedance was measured between pins of IC and found to be as below.

VCC and GND : around 40 Ohms.

Y and GND : Open

A and GND : Open

Kindly let me know on any root cause of the failure.

Hey Harish,

The device you have isn't specified for below -40 C.

Are you seeing this problem at -40 C or after -40 C?

Have you seen this failure across multiple devices?

Hi Daniel,

Performance checks was not carried out below -40 deg C , we have observed the failure during the ramp up time (-40 to 55 deg C) and for your information, out of two buffers used in the module, we have observed failure in one of the buffer alone.
