SN74LVC2T45: Unused data ports must not be floating; tie the unused port input and output to ground directly

Hope you are well. Would you be able to help out with below inquiry.

On figure 20 of section 9.2.2 of datasheet, unused output pin is tied to ground.

Why do you recommend that unused output pin tied to ground? Is there any reason?
