CD74HC688: Icc "typ" and "max" value

Part Number: CD74HC688

Hi,

In the data sheet of CD74HC688NSR,
It is regulated by Icc (Quiescent Device Current):
25℃ = 8 uA (max), -40 to 85℃ = 80uA(max), -55 to 125℃ = 160uA(max).

I want to know the "typ" value and "max" value of each temperature (-25℃, -40 to 85℃, -55 to 125℃)
Can I request the data?

best regards

  • Hi cafain,
I'm afraid that a full re-characterization across temperature would be very expensive and we would have to discuss through your local TI FAE team to get it authorized.

It's highly recommended to design a system based on the max ratings - especially in mass production (typical values are not guaranteed, but max values are).

If you're just making a few units (or a single board) it's best to test the specific device you are going to use under the specific conditions it will be used to get a typical value that has significance.

That being said, the 8uA max at 25C on the datasheet is likely a good indicator of the 'typical' operation for this device.
