Dear TI Experts,
We've met many questions about rough Leadframe recently .Could you kindly help to give some advices about below questions? Thanks a lot.
1) the rough Leadframe started from 2018?
2) Will all TI devices change to rough Leadframe? How about the schedule?
3) Once a device change to rough Leadframe, will all the manufacture factories of TI change simultaneously? Or it may happen that rough and no-rough coexist among different manufacture factories?
Hi,
I have forwarded your questions to our quality engineers. I will let you know what they reply.
Thanks!
-Karan

I need to know at least business or package type to tell you when change started. I can also find out when first rough LF was used historically but I doubt it is a useful info.
Not all devices will change, some may remain un-roughened.
My understanding all factories will be capable (and maybe are already) of using both, rough and non-rough LF. Also note that rough can be different kind (both side, single side).
Dear Karan,
Thanks a lot your support. I want to double confirm one thing---- one factory may use both, rough and non-rough LF on the same device at the same time? or once one device change to rough LF, this factory will only keep the rough LF for this device? Thanks a lot.
In reply to Bruce li:
No, the device will have one kind of LF, not both. You can always ask for us to find out about a specific part.
Got it, thanks a lot for your help
