Hi,
I couldn't find any certificate regarding IEC 61508 standards for the RM57 MCU. I could find certificates for RM4 and TMS57 MCUs, but nothing on the RM57. Did I miss it or is there no certificate yet?

Moritz,
The RM57 certification is not complete yet. It will be available in early 2017.

Dave,
thanks for the reply!
That is an interesting fact. We were planning a development based on the RM57 which should have started soon. Therefore I have a few follow up questions:

Anthony,
thanks for the reply! I am working on getting a NDA signed. After that I will check your link.

Moritz,
Possibility certification will fail:
I believe there is a high probability of success. We have certified the other products RM products. We know what to do and how to do it.
Move RM57 to TMS570:
Not sure that will help your situation. The TMS570 (TMS570LC4x) that aligns with the RM57 is not certified either and on the same schedule.
Missing support or documentation:
There will be updates to the Safety Manual and Safety Analysis Report as part of the certification.
You mentioned "planning a development". When will certification start on your product?
Regards, Dave
Hello Moritz,
The RM57 certification was completed at the end of 3Q16 and all safety documents were also updated at that time. The Safety manual can be retrieved on the RM57 product page and the certificate on the ti.com/safeti page under the IEC61508 tab. For a more one-stop-shopping experience, all safety documents including the NDA Safety Analysis Reports (and FMEDA) can be retreived from within our SafeTI Private E2E. Specifically, this link will take you to a post that has links to all of the documents:
If you are not a member of the SafeTI Private E2E you can request access and get the SafeTI NDA form using this link:
In regard to product availability, I have copied one of our marketing managers on this so they may add any comments they deem appropriate/helpful. For sure, if you work with your distributor and/or directly through TI.com store, you can order any quantity you want. The key is to insure adequate forecasting and planning for the required manufacturing lead times. Also, it might be worth considering contacting your distributor directly if you have a consistent and regular schedule for devices so they can insure they have the adequate stock to support you.
Hello Chuck,
thanks for your answer. I somehow missed the certificate. I now found all the documents.
