MSP430G2553 could not blow security fuse

Hi All,

I am programming MSP430G2553 using MSP-FET430UIF.

GUI used for programming is Lite FET-Pro430 Elprotronic.

Communication type is spy bi wire.

The problem is I could program uC but not able to blow security fuse.

Please help me in this matter.

I am afraid that you must change your microcontroller.

MSP-FET430UIF by using only 2 (default) SBW lines will not blow the fuse. TEST / VPP line (JTAG header) must be used.

Hi,

I tried the circuit above... but keeping 330 ohms on TCK pin give me a higher programming failure rate.

Works better with 100 ohms.. but will that damage TCK of the debugger when i blow the fuse?

This issue is resolved by updating the version of Lite FET-Pro430.
