slau278q

where has slau278q gone

  • Hi David!

What was slau278 about? Here is slau278r:

I think it is just a new revision with added information.

  • If you format the link like this it will take you to the latest version, whatever that might be:

That said, usually TI retain the old versions of documents so that they're available for reference/comparison. Perhaps someone has been a bit hasty in deleting revision q.

  • Do they keep them publicly available? I always found older revisions disappearing quite quickly, sometimes even before the new was available (well, that was a mistake then)

I do have a local copy of slau278q. If you still need it I can put it on-line.

I probably made that sound more organised than it really is. What I should have said is: "a few times I've been successful in downloading old versions of documents." A few of those have been quite old (from several months to over a year, IIRC).

I expect TI do retain copies of all document revisions internally, so it's worth asking them if you really need a particular version that's no longer publicly available.

Personally I think it would be beneficial for TI to keep the old documents available publicly. If there's a concern about people downloading old documents without realising then maybe the links to old documents could go to a warning page first, which could also show a link to the latest version.

  • After I noticed that documents are removed (even the deep links stopped working) after a new revision was released, I started to collect and keep all document revisions I can get. And for devices I don’t use.
