I was able to connect the MSP-FET to a MSP430FR5969, no problems.
However, I want to connect the MSP-FET to a MSP430F5529. The pins and routing are not included in the LaunchPad version though. So does anyone know how to do this connect? Do I just connect TDO, TDI, TMS,TCK, TEST, AND RST? Do I need other lines?

are you using the MSP-EXP430F5529LP LaunchPad? If yes, then you cannot use the 4-wire JTAG since the pins are not routed out to the headers. This board uses the Spy-By-Wire interface. The header that connects the emulation side of the board with the processor's side contains 2 connections marked with SBW RST and SBW TST. You can remove the jumpers and connect the FET to those pins (to the processor's side pins, of course).
If you do not use the LaunchPad, then you can use the standard JTAG pins, too. Here is a schematic of the connections you have to make for your processor in that case:
