i am using msp430g2553 Ic. not launchpad. and i want to make Pc based acqusition system can you tell me how to do it? mY uart pin is p1.1 and p1.2

If you want usb communication, there is bit-banging hid software for msp430g2xx.

If you want Uart communication with pc, there are more than enough open source example, search for it.

I am not asking about UART code. if i want to make pcb like launchpad and which has usb cable for uart. i don't require debugging facility.

The G2553 has no USB support. You need a separate UART/USB interface chip.

ok thanks. i have one question: when i am using USB to TTL converter with launchpad, i connect its tx and rx pins to rx and tx pin of launchpad. it works for me. but when i am not using launchpad, then how to connect usb to ttl converter with msp430g2553??

I do not understand this question. Are you using the Launchpad's built-in USB/UART converter, or a separate one? And which of the many RX/TX pins are you using?

i am using external usb /uart converter. and i have ic msp430g2553. i am not using MSP430 launchpad. can you tell me how to connect it?

Assuming that you are using the G2553's built-in UART, you should connect the converter to the USCI_A0 RXD/TXD pins, P1.1 and P1.2.

it is not working for me. when i check connection using multimeter, in MSP430 side rxd pin is connected to p1.3 and txd is not connected to p1.2 and on emulation side first pin is connected to p1.2

Remember to connect GND of your circuit to the GND of the converter. Also ensure if Tx/Rx of the converter refers to the side of PC or side of your circuit. You can do it fast using multimeter - check where voltage changes when you send data via PC terminal - this pin shall be connected to MSP430's Rx pin. Some converters also requires to choose if you want to use 3.3V or 5V (requires removing jumper etc.).
