4 byte addressing

Dear TexasInstrument,

I want to use 4 byte addressing in my MSP430 DLMS server using TI library,(have already done with Byte addressing on same library).
can you Please guide me..?

Hi Rakesh,

Sorry for the late reply. In relation to your question, according to the TI DLMS COSEM library usage Appnote linked below, four byte addressing is supported. Refer to page 2 of the Appnote under features.

Already I have gone through this document and it don't give any information regarding 4 byte addressing in DLMS/Cosem Library.

This is mainly a user forum, not a support hotline. A lot of unpaid volunteers answering questions, and fortunately, TI employees are also present.

If you have an urgent problem, contact your distributor or TI FAE directly. However, this might not be for free ...

The DLMS library supports 1, 2 and 4 byte addressing, and has passed the conformance tests in all three modes. If a DLMS client uses 1, 2 or 4 byte addresses the server will respond appropriately. Obviously, when 1 byte addresses are used communication must be on a one-to-one basis, as the meter has no way to identify messages specifically for it. With 2 and 4 byte addresses communication can be from one client to many servers.
