can the MSP-EXP430G2 LaunchPad be used a Programmer/Debugger for the MSP430FR5739 controllers?

(Using the Spy-Bi-Wire Interface)

Hi Fabian,

No, the eZ430 FET hardware on the MSP-EXP430G2 only supports MSP430F2xx/G2xx devices. Any other LaunchPad (www.ti.com/.../launchpads.page) besides the MSP432 variant has an on-board eZ-FET that supports the MSP430FR5739. You might also be interested in purchasing a MSP-EXP430FR5739.

To be more precise, hardware on G2 LP support any MSP430 SBW device. Problem is firmware, that TI don't want to update.
