MSP430F167: Driver does not work with Windows 10

I got a new MacBook Pro and put Parallels + Windows 10 on it. USB2ANY driver based GUIs work just fine. But MSP430F167 based GUI doesn't work.

I've read several threads on this topic and installed all the drivers from here: http://www.ti.com/tool/mspds.

But it still doesn't work -- In the device manager, I see a warning when MSP430 is connected and I'm unable to update using the drivers downloaded from the above link.

Could somebody please help ASAP?

I'm using a custom GUI developed for a customer by Finland team. The GUI works fine on Windows 7, XP etc.

Hi MSP team,

I'm still waiting for your help to resolve the issue I've with drivers on Windows 10. Do you have an updated MSP430 driver for Windows 10 that you can email or put in some TI depository for me to download and try?

Hi Harini,

I would need to see your schematic to try to pinpoint which device has the problem. The MSP430F167 is not a USB MCU (it has no USB interface), so you must be using some other device for the USB connection on the hardware that you have, and it is the driver for that device which needs to be addressed. As such, there is no MSP430 driver that I can give you to address this.

Harini,

As we discussed, the MSP430F167 device is not a USB device, so your driver related issue needs to be solved by looking at the USB to serial IC that you are using and how that is configured in your application.
