    Hi,

    Yes OMAP4 processors are suitable choice for tablet design. If you browse the internet you will find customers that use OMAP4 for their tablets.

    Regarding OMAP4 lifespan,  you can check the OMAP4430 Data Manual, Table 3-4 Power On Hour (POH) Limits:

    It is safe to say that this table is very similar for all OMAP4 devices (OMAP4430, OMAP4460 & OMAP4470).
