Hi,

When the VFB pin is opened, the output voltage of TPS43061 continue to rise over time.

Therefore, my customer would like to set an external OVP circuit.

Please let me know if you have a recommend external OVP circuit.

Vin= 7.4V

Vout is changed from 9.0V to 15V.

Iout = 4.5A(max)

Hi Anthony-san,

Thank you for the information.

I understand that it is effective to use the zener diode for the OVP circuit.

And, I have one more question.

Currently, they are considering whether they use a voltage monitoring IC as OVP.

(A voltage monitoring IC is TPS3898)

Please let me know if you have any advice for this case.

A voltage monitoring IC could also work. The TPS43061 will stop switching very quickly after the EN pin is pulled low. The typical delay is <200ns.
