Use Case of TPS2553's Ios

Hello, would you tell us the opinion or the situation about this E2E's questions?

Our customer wants to know answer early for a cause investigation into their system (using TPS2553) failure.

Sorry for the delay (due to China Holidays).
This is a difficult question and may take some time for the designer to answer. In the mean time, a quicker method would be to try a bench experiment of the above scenario using the TI EVM.

May I double check with you about the resistance between OUT_Pin and Ilim_Pin? In your question, it shows 2.2KOhm, but it's 2.2Ohm in your ppt file.

Sorry for late response due to some issue in e2e. We did some tests based on TPS2553 EVM as the schematic in your ppt file (2.2Ohm resistor.) Actually, Ios will be reduced to almost zero. So if it's in no load condition, there is 5V output. But if we put 500mA constant current load on output, we will see hiccup behavior at output.
