CCS/TMS320C6678: Ethernet Initialization on more than one core

Hi,

I thought your observations are:

1) Ruining NDK initialization on core 0, but run the socket on core 1, you got socket open failure.

2) Then you modified the NDK and it can run on core 0 or core 1, .... with NDK initialization and socket on the same core.

3) Now you want to run NDK on multiple cores (e.g. 2 cores) with each core control an Ethernet port (C6678 has two SGMII ports and 1 host port). We don't have such code developed. The TI 6678 EVM has SGMII 1 accessed from RJ-45, SGMII 0 accessed from AMC connector, we don't have setup or develop software to test this.

Thanks for clarification! Then you are trying to access the same SGMII port from different cores (core 0 and core 1) with different sockets (for example, two UDP streams with the different UDP ports). To do this, I thought you need two NDK on two cores and I don't think NDK supports this.

But let me check with NDK team!

This is not supported. You cannot share the some SGMII port across two different cores at the same time.
