From the end-users point of view, dual provisioning options introduce more complexity.
Does TI have an example program in how to cleanly implement backup provisioning? I ask this because its your company's suggestion and smartconfig is ti's technology, but I cannot find an example case of how this is done.

one more question, is the cc3220 meant to be a next generation upgrade of the cc3200?

Hi Christopher,

This is a limitation with certain APs. We do not have functionality for 5GHz networks for example, or for proprietary networks. You can implement the backup method as a timeout feature or as a button GPIO input.

CC3220 is the next generation of CC3200, and we are highlighting its increased security (S/SF), low power, and application space (SF). We will continue to sell and support both generations.
