Part Number: LM3488 Tool/software: Hi,
We use the LM3488 for the boost circuit, and now, the inductance temperature is more than 100℃ when the output current is 0.8A;
Our spec is input voltage is 12V, output is 48V/1.25A;
Please kindly review below schematic…
Part Number: LM3488 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5155 Tool/software: I am hoping to use the LM3488 in a boost converter for charging my batteries at 30V. Unfortunately, I only have a source that can output 20V at 3A, and the battery might draw…
Hi Kenneth,
Thanks for the update and considering flyback topology.
My strongest suspicion is still about the SIR610DP-T1-RE3 MOSFET which is used. If possible, I would recommend to test a different MOSFET with lower gs-threshold.
You can also request a…

Hello, I have downloaded unencrypted model for PSpice from LM3488 page and uploaded it to LTspice for simulation. I assembled the circuit and when tried to play transient simulation, got this error: "U1:v_iss_tst: requires…
Hi Behnam, LM5155 is a very similar device to LM3488, but much more modern and with improved features. As the design itself is feasible, you can run a simulation with the LM5155 model and check if the results look better here.
I also found a reference design…
Part Number: LM3488 Tool/software: Our end customer happened the stalling of engine and can’t start again issue at the OEM, we have do the ABA, the defect phenomenon follows the defect IC.
The output voltage is 5V at the moment of power-on,then…

@Schwars Nope the Design is at the 2.5 year mark of design and is fairly hard set. The LM3488 was chosen FOR its availability as we went through around 5 parts, to make one run and then it becoming unobtainable., and having to switch again and again. The…
Part Number: LM3488 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI , LM5156 , LM3478 Tool/software: Dear Engineers,
Would you please share a reference schematic example for LM3488?
I plan to design a circuit to make +/- 70 V form 3.6 V. So, first I want to simulate…
