Part Number: SN65HVD05 Does SN65HVD05 have difference on Propagation delay between single input to differential output and differential input to single output?
I think Fig.4 and Fig.8 on Datasheet indicate the difference but it does not clear for me…
Hi Jesse,
Thanks for posting on E2E!
If you are already considering swapping to RS-232, I would recommend RS-485 instead. Because of it's differential signaling implementation, it can provide much better signal integrity allowing for longer distances…

St-30 RS485 Somfy part #1000658 I have a Crestron processor AV2 sending out RS-485 to 44 somfy shade motors in less than a 4000 ft wired network using cresnet…
Carl, If it has to be 54Ohm load, SN65HVD1176 is a good choice of RS485 transceiver for high output. In the same test condition, it's 200mV less than ISL4486IBZ-T (2.1V vs. 2.3V). If it's 100Ohm like RS422 load, you can take a look at SN65HVD50 ( www…
Ronald - san,
I have additional question.
Could SN65HVD05 support RS-422(V.11)?
The data sheet isn't described that support RS-422(V.11).
