Part Number: SN74HCT08 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HCS08 , SN74AC08 , SN74AHC08 Our test shows that the transmission input delay is about 1.6uS, which is very different from the tPHL parameter in the data manual. What is the cause of this, or is…
Part Number: SN74AHC1G08 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G97-Q1 , SN74HCS08-Q1 Hi team,
Does TI have alternative option with Schmitt-trigger input and DRL package similar to SN74AHC1G08? I've found SN74HCS08-Q1 or SN74LVC1G97-Q1 has Schmitt…
Hi Fanbin,
Please see this [FAQ] How does a slow of floating input affect a CMOS device?
You can use devices with Schmitt-trigger inputs that don't have an input transition rate requirement. I would suggest the SN74HCS08 .
Please note none of our devices…
Hi Abel,
For the most part yes the electrical characteristics between the two are the same. The only thing that I noticed that appears to be different is the timing characteristics, and the CD74HCT08 has an input diode likely to help with signal integrity…
Hey Andy,
To add here, I recommend using the newer SN74HCS08 instead. It will operate better at 3.3 V and we have the FAQ that Clemens linked showing 3.3 V characteristics.
Both of those devices will meet the datasheet specs, although there can be differences between batches of devices.
I don't see any problems with the circuit surrounding the HC74, however this circuit seems like it may cause problems:
It's generally…
At V CC = 3.3 V, the SN74HCS08's positive switching threshold could be as low as 1.22 V.
To get a switching threshold of 2 V, you have to add a comparator like the TLV7011.
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HCS08 Hi Sir,
May I learn from you, do we have a simple solution which can keep output always low no matter input is high or low?
Thank you.

Part Number: SN74HC08-Q1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HCS08-Q1 , Hello team,
I am looking for SN74HC08QPWRQ1 pspice library model.
Can I get pspice.lib file for this?
I usually haven't seen model library for logic and wondering whether TI supports…
