Can mutual capacitance detects "multiple button touches " in a 64x64 matrix? i.e: in a design like that: TIDM-CAPTIVATE-64-BUTTON 64-Button Capacitive Touch Panel With TI Microcontroller With CapTIvate Technology Reference…
Part Number: CC1352P Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BOOSTXL-ULPSENSE Hello,
We are migrating a product line from the MSP432P401R to the CC1352P1F3 and are having issues with the capacitive touch. On the 432, we used the CAPTIO peripheral, but on the…
Hello All,
Thank you for your suggestion,
I have already purchased Captivate-FR2676 board, however i do not have CAPTIVATE-PGMR .
When i study the user guide for Captivate-FR2676 board, i see that there are JTAG pins on the programmer connector.
I have Tm4C129…

Hi Bart,
Unfortunately, it may be difficult to achieve reasonable results with only the 4 Captivate pins. You are probably already familiar with TIDM-1021, Liquid Tolerant Capacitive Touch Keypad Reference Design , (I'll share the link for other readers…
Part Number: TIDM-1021 Hello,
Can we make more than 15 buttons with driven shield for water proof ?
Captivate supports up to 64 buttons with mutual capacitance method, but when driven shield is applied like TIDM-1021,we can make up to 15 buttons(TX:15…
Part Number: BOOSTXL-CAPKEYPAD Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-1021 , , CAPTIVATE-PGMR , MSP430FR2522 Hello everyone,
my goal is to develop a waterproof capacitive touch-sensor.
In many sources on the internet, it is said that a mutual-capacitance…
Hello,
MSP432 doesn't support capTIvate touch. I think you can use the CAPKEYPAD for touch and the CC3220SF for WIFI.
The touch events can easily be output by MSP430 through UART, I2C or GPIO, you only need config the another side to receive these touch…
Hi Dennis,
Thank you for your reply.
When looking at TIDM-1021, RX traces is hidden behind the board and just above the front seems to be hatched with TX.
My idea's concern is that the RX trace will be exposed on the touch surface and will falsely detect…
Hi U-SK,
Making the LED holes larger will impact the sensitivity of the button. The less copper sensor area there is to interact with a person's finger, the more you will have to increase the sensor's sensitivity to compensate for this. One solution…
