Additionally, the triangle wave is much slower than what it shows when using the calculations from TIPD108: f = R6/4*R7 *R5 *C3 = 500kHz but looking at the transient analysis on TINA i see a period of 2.85u = 350kHz. Am i missing something?

Hi, Hi I am a student and I was wondering if I can use this PWM generator for a solar inverter. And if so, if I change the sine wave input to lower frequency (60 Hz) and the triangular carrier to 10 KHz, will it work? Or should I do some other modification…

Hi Emmanuel, The reference design TIPD108 describes the design of an analog PWM generator. A requirement of the PWM generator design is to produce an accurate triangle wave which will likely fit well in your application.
