There is a difference with the TPD2EUSB30 and TPD2EUSB30A. The A version only has 3.6V working voltage and would not work for short to vbus application. However the TPD2EUSB30 has 5.5V working voltage so it can withstand short to vbus.

Thank you for referring to the EVM when creating your schematic. It is almost the same, except the R38 is grounded instead of floating. It should be fine as long as the crystal datasheet advises pulling this to GND.

The TPD2EUSB30 would be more suitable than the A version but I would say that the TPD2E2U06 would be better suited than either of them. Or if you need a 4 channel device the TPD4E05U06 would work as well.
