For a pin-to-pin replacement, use the same number (MAX3222E/TRS3222E).
The only difference between the 3222 and the 3232 indeed are the /EN and /PWRDOWN pins. The E indicates better ESD protection.

But I need to confirm if MAX3222E really has no built-in 5kohm because I found another thread talked about this issue.
