OPA838: OPA838

Hello everyone,

I am trying to simulate the OPA838 in LT-SPICE. I had followed the procedure described here:

which Solved the floating error, but I do not get any signal at the output of the amplifier. (The transient simulation is performed but no wave is shown in the results)

 

Could it be that the model is not comptible with LT-SPICE? does anyone met this issue before? The files I am trying to simulate are attached to this message

  • p.s : it is possible that when you test the circuit, you have to change the path in the attribute of the ltspice symbol. I have tested the circuit in a specific folder in my pc, so when you download the ltspice file the model will probably sit in a folder with a different name.

  • sim issue aside, the OPA838 is a decomp non unity gain stable device, you should be oscillating in the sim as shown, make it a gain of 10 and retry

      Our models are verified on both PSpice and Tina which makes it most likely to work in other third party software as well. 

      I am unable to directly support you due to a license agreement, but here is a very helpful e2e thread that shares resources and goes through each step on importing our models into LTSpice. 

      Once the sim issue has been fixed, the sim will not work because of the reason Michael mentioned. Increase your gain to at least above 6V/V.
