LM118QML: MIL-STD-883 revision C

Hi Team,

Our customer has a follow up inquiry related to the other thread below.

e2e.ti.com/.../lm118qml-replacement-to-lm118j-8-883

Upon review we cannot use any alternate / non-QML certified options other than LM118J-8/883. But I wonder if you can comment on a similar issue. Originally this device had a "C" suffix (standard revision for MIL-STD-883). But TI no longer use this suffix. Do you have a link to a whitepaper confirming that LM118J-8/883 is equivalent and complies with the latest revision of MIL-STD-883 C revision for LM118J-8/883? Hello Danilo,

From what I have been told by our former long-time MIL group guys:

" At one time it was required that the revision of the MIL standard be included in the product name. So, LM124J/883B was manufactured under rev. B of the standard. That requirement was dropped after rev. C, so that product made after that does not have a revision letter in the name."

You can find out what standard was used in the QCI system (better if you have a lot# and datecode).

Quality Conformance Inspection (QCI)

Select Reports -> PCR listing and enter the device or lot number. Then click on the "QA Lotnr" column for the summary.

The HiRel website has been "improved" and I cannot find my usual list of appnotes.
