Hello Matthew,
The second line is the datecode.
3 = Last digit of the assembly year (could be 2023 or 2013 or 2003)
0 = Month code or a six week calendar period code.
A = assembly site code.
However, the "0" is not a valid character for the 6 week period (only 1 thru 9). I will have to check further to confirm.
Do you still have the original shipping carton or bag with the labels?
No, I do not have the packaging. This part is on circuit boards provided by our contract manufacturer. I noticed it is different than the ones I am using in production. There is a polarity dimple on this part and there is no stamp number on the bottom of the part. If you can find more information about the "0" or the last line of info, that would be great. Thanks
Hello Matthew,
What is the exact part number you are ordering? From the schematic BOM? And from whom?
I am assuming LM193DR or LM193DRG4 (plastic SOIC-8 package).
Do you know approximately when they were purchased?
Some things are not quite right compared to what I see in the system, and I am checking further..
Markings on the bottom of the package are "tooling" marks to identify the molding machine used, and may not even be present. No date codes on the bottom (only the top).
Are you having issues with the device performance?
The part is LM193DR. I do not know when they were purchased as the parts are populated on boards from a contract manufacturer. The circuit they are installed in is not working about 30% of the time. I am trying to determine if these parts are TI, or off brand with laser-etched markings to look like a TI part
Hi Matthew,
May I contact you at your registered email address?
We take any discussions of possible counterfeiting off-line. It may be heading in that direction...
If you replace the parts with known TI devices, do they suddenly spring to life?
Hi Matthew,
I sent you an email. I will be closing this thread to take it internal.
