TL082: Simulation

Part Number: TL082

Hi All,

I have used TL082CMX/NOPB as a sample and hold circuit in our design. Schematics and Simulation circuit has been attached for your reference.

When I change my input voltage from +10V to -10V, I need to capture the time it takes to fully settle from +10V to -10V. Kindly help me on how to simulate the same.

  • Hey Lakshmi,

What is the series resistance before your 47nF cap on the input? Additionally, what is connected on the output on CH0?

    Best,
    Jerry

  • Hi Jerry,

I have not used any series resistor before 47nF capacitor. Below is the flow.

MUX_CH0 is the output from MUX which is given as an input to TL082 op-amp. TL082, here acts as a Sample and Hold circuit. The output CH0 from TL082 is again given to MUX as a feedback.

In my case, I assumed MUX_CH0 to be +10V. When I toggle +10V to -10V, the time taken to settle to -10V is required. I am doing this to check the settling time from +10V to -10V and adjust the RC values to get the required 16ms settling time. Your help is most valued.

  • Hello Lakshmi,

16ms settling time is a very long time. Are you saying you aren't seeing this settling time on the output of the amplifier? This can easily be done by the TL082 in the current configuration as described. I've included my simulation results below, as well as the simulation file.
