XTR116: Changed operating temperature minimum value from –55°C to –40°C in Absolute Maximum Ratings

Part Number: XTR116

Hi,

As I looked through the latest datasheet of XTR116 (SBOS124B – JANUARY 2000 – REVISED JUNE 2023) , the minimum operating temperature has been changed from -55C to -40C. I'm pleased to know if the construction of the IC has been changed from the former configuration such that -55 C operation is compromised. This is because we are using this part in few main stream aerospace products which are rated to -55C.

Thanks,

Kavindu

  • Hi Kavindu,

We have some changes in the XTR116 product line, and you should have received the related PCN - Product Change Notification regarding the part.

In the previous XTR116 IC. the absolute maximum operating temperature is specified from -55C to +125C, but the XTR116's performance figures in the datasheet are reported and published between -40C to +125C. In other words, the performance of the XTR116 is guaranteed within -40C to +125C. This part has not changed in the current XTR116 IC.

There were no specific performance data rated below -40C. From the absolute maximum rating specification, the XTR116 should be able to power up under the cold soaked conditions at -55C, however there are no additional performance guaranteed between -55C and -40C based on the previous datasheet.

Please let me know if you have other questions.

    Best,

    Raymond
