OPA365: absolute Maximum ratings supply voltage value

Part Number: OPA365
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA607

Dear support team,

May I have your double check the OPA365 supply voltage maximum is correct or not?

Due to the recommended and maximum ratings are all 5.5V.

As I knew, maximum rating is usually bigger than recommended range. For example OPA607 maximum rating is 6V and recommended is 5.5V.

Best,

Peter Wang

  • Hi Peter,

yes, but many typical figures in the datasheet of OPA607 go up to 6V supply voltage while for the OPA365 they only go up to 5.5V. More, the OPA365 as being a zero-crossover OPAmp has an internal charge pump increasing the effective supply voltage by 1.8V. So it's rather unlikely that the absolute maximum supply voltage of OPA365 is 6V and not 5.5V.

  • Hi Kai,

So the OPA365 maximum value is 6V right ?

Is there any letter could show this value ?

    Thanks.

    Peter Wang

  • Hello Peter,

The abs max rating of the OPA365 is only guaranteed up to 5.5V. Most commonly, you are right that recommended voltage is usually 0.5V less than abs max rating, but I believe this datasheet lists the entire power range, rather than split values between recommended and maximum.

I agree with Kai, if you need high voltage rating, we would advise to switch to the OPA607.

    Thank you,

    Sima
