OPA820: CMRR characterization

Dear e2e support,

Could you clarify what's the frequency used to get the CMRR performances page 6 and 8 of our datasheet; and what's the schematic used to get the plot of Figure 17?

Can we provide other CMRR plots, vs frequency?

My customer is interested to get the CMRR performances for a 1K to 50MHz frequency band, with a gain of 1 and a bipolar supply (+/-5V), using a similar schematic of figure 65 (differential to single ended).

Regards,

  • Hi,

The CMRR values highlighted in the Electrical Characteristics table were collected at DC. To get the CMRR data in Figure 17, the circuit configuration used was a differential circuit like the one in Figure 65. The gain used to get the data was 1V/V. Unfortunately, I was not able to find other CMRR plots vs frequency. The best source for this information is the data available in the datasheet.

    Best Regards,

    Ignacio

  • Hi Ignacio,

Could you also share what is the sine wave amplitude, to get this CMRR performances? 1Vpp, with a 0Vcm?

    Regards,

  • Hi,

The CMRR plots in the datasheet are captured in simulation and an ideal ac signal source is used. Meaning there is no signal settings used as it is an ideal small signal source.

    Best Regards,

    Ignacio
