VCA810: Negative power supply circuit advice

Hi Tai,

The VCA810 can be ran with single supply however some added circuitry is required to bias the GND pin to mid supply. If this is not ideal and you would like to use a split supply configuration, we have a converter team that can provide the best recommendations to generate a negative supply voltage.

Thanks for your suggestion. I had the same exact thought, but not sure how to approach this. I could create split say 10V power supply into half and create a virtual ground. What would you propose?

Hi Tai,

That would be the simplest way to go about it. With a 10V supply you could create a simple voltage divider to bias the GND pin to mid supply. I would also like to highlight that your input common mode and output voltage ranges will be adjusted to account for this single supply voltage configuration.
