Tool/software:
Hi experts,
Good day! My customer is evaluating OPA2188 and found specified temperature spec. What is specified temperature? What's the difference between it and operating temperature? Can it operate out of specified temperature but within operating temperature? Thanks!
BR,
Victoria
Hi Victoria,
What is specified temperature? What's the difference between it and operating temperature?
The specified temperature refers to the op amp's performance characteristics presented in the datasheet, show below. These performance figures are guaranteed for the specified temperature range.
This part is recommended to operate in the following temperature range.
Outside of the specified temperature range, the OPA188 will operate as well, but the performance may deviate from the figured shown in the above table. In other words, the typical and max. performance figures will not be guaranteed, and the OPA188 is still able to operate down to -55C or operated beyond +105C to +125C
Can it operate out of specified temperature but within operating temperature?
Yes. Outside of the specified temperature range, the OPA188 will operate as well, but the performance may deviate from the presented figured presented in the table above. In other words, the typical and max. performance figures will not be guaranteed, and the OPA2188 is still able to operate down to -55C from -40C, and operated beyond +105C to +125C
