Tool/software:
Hey Opamp Team,
I have a customer evaluating the TLC2274 -> TLC2274IPW for a design and we were hoping you could help to provide some clarity on the temp rating info shared in the datasheet and the device landing page.
The landing page for the TLC2274 shows that the device is rated for -55C to 125C but then the device datasheet shows that there are various Part Levels (C, I, Q, and M) all with varying specs and operating temperatures.
The datasheet doesn't seem to explicitly identify which Generic Part Numbers (GPNs) fall into which Part Levels so is this identified elsewhere? My assumption is that the TLC2274 is likely a commercial grade part (i.e. 0C to 70C) so I have a feeling that it doesn't actually support -55C to 125C but can you please help to shed light on all of this?

The letter after the number indicates the temperature range; C = commercial, I = industrial, Q = automotive, M = military. See the recommended operating conditions:
The TLC227x is an old design. Consider the cheaper and better TLV9154 instead.
Hi Matt,
so I have a feeling that it doesn't actually support -55C to 125C
You have to use the package type in this part, also see Clemens's reply. This part has many package types and the only the military version is supported for -55C to 125C operating range.
If you have other questions, please let me know.
Best,
Raymond
Thank you both Clemens and Raymond for the answers!
I see now that the Part Level distinction is baked into the Orderable Part Number, thanks for the clarification! :)
